Preparing Hemp

Hemp is an excellent bait, used for holding fish in a swim, or on the hook.
It can be fired into your swim with a catapult, or added to groundbait.

It needs to be prepared before you use it, here's how. Soak the hemp in water overnight (12 hrs approx)

Once it's soaked the fun starts!
Cook the hemp, either boil it on the stove, or use the microwave oven. (You can take the safe route and leave it in a flask of boiling water overnight.)

If you used the microwave, you might just get away with it. But, if you boiled it in a pan on the stove for a couple of hours......

... your Mother, girlfriend, wife, is going to lynch you! It's not the best of smells, and the state of the pan won't go down too well either!
You've been warned!

HempOnce cooked, the seed should split allowing the white centre to protrude. Leave it to go cold in the pan/dish. Keep airtight, or moist until you need it

Any unused hemp can be frozen until you next go fishing. And if you've been banned from cooking it at home, don't worry, you can buy it pre-cooked from the tackle shop!

Oh, use the flowers to say sorry for the mess you made in the kitchen......
