The Palomar is one of the easier ones. Put a loop in the end of your line and pass it through the eye of your hook or swivel.

raw the loose ends tight, easing the loop over the body of the hook as you go.

Moisten, where the knot will tighten, with saliva before pulling the knot home tight and you're done.
This knot will retain up to 80% of the line strength and is great for either tying hooks or swivels etc on.
