Hooking Maggots

T
he old favourite, maggot. But just how should you hook them and why?

H
ook a single maggot through the 'beard' at the blunt end. Just nick it through with a really sharp hook.
If it bursts, discard it. The lighter the hooking, the more natural they behave in the water.

F
or double maggot, top & tail 'em. One through the blunt end, one through the pointy end, this will stop them from spinning, and twisting your line, when you reel in.

A
whole bunch can be used with bigger hooks for just about any bigger fish. And remember, if you feel resistance when hooking them, change your hook.
